The Wabi Lawn-Swing is part of a series which also includes a sofa and lounge chair. The structure is in Sassafras wood and in a hand woven structural cover. The fixed structural weave is in a waterproof silicone profile covered with Rope yarn in solid or melange colors or in Aquatech yarn in solid colors. The seat cushion is treated to be water repellant for the exteriors and is upholstered in a removable cover in the fabrics Luz, Rope T, or Brio. At least one back cushion and a loose cushion per person are necessary for complete seating comfort. The cords of the lawn swing are mounted at a standard height between 102.4" and 106.3", calculated from the support ring to the base of the sofa. Different heights are considered custom. Francesco Rota (born 1966 in Milan, Italy) graduated from Peliz, Switzerland’s Art Center College of Design in 1994 and founded the Francesco Rota Design Office the following year. He began working with companies both in Italy and abroad, creating interior design for well-known firms such as L’Oreal and Oluce, as well as spatial design for Daimler Chrysler/Mercedes Benz and Nestle. Rota has also designed for brands such as Bals Tokyo, Martini & Rossi, and Paola. Over his career, Francesco Rota has received multiple honors, including the International Audi Design Award “Life in Motion” first prize as well as honorable mentions at the 19° Premio Compasso D'Oro 2001 and the 20° Premio Compasso D'Oro 2004.
