Often described as a “seating landscape,” the On the Rocks sectional is a relatively simple design that consists of four different geometric seating elements – three are in the shape of five-sided polygons; the fourth is a quadrilateral. By placing their respective angled sides adjacent to other elements, a number of different seating configurations can be created. Once the seating expanse has been created, the sectional is completed with a fabulously sensual backrest – available in two lengths – that can be positioned to meander across the seating expanse in a number of ways. All On the Rocks elements are surprisingly composed without the use of expected frames or rigid internal supports. Rather, Edra has developed a special patented foam – Gellyfoam® – that it combines with other foams of varying densities to hand-form each of the shapes. Not only does this guarantee the sitter unbelievable comfort but it enables the shape retention of the geometric elements. Available in a wide range of removable textile upholstery options.
