Like so many of Robert Lazzeroni's designs, the Bandeja chest of drawers is an example of the designer's masterful manipulation of solid wood to create profoundly elegant and sculptural forms. The Bandeja chest of drawers is composed of solid American walnut or cherry wood. The dresser's beautifully curved form features seven drawers providing concealed storage. Manufactured by Ceccotti.

Ceccotti Collezioni was launched in the mid-20th century, to supply unique furnishings to exclusive residences and hotels. The company built its aesthetic out of the traditional Tuscan artisan craftsmanship taught in the area’s Cascina School of Art. Early collections of Ceccotti products were influenced by surrealist designers like Gaudi and Mollino, as well as contemporary Scandinavian designs. Today, the firm’s designers continue to create forward-looking yet elegant pieces, employing sensual, organic curves and respecting the traditions and uses of home and commercial furnishings.

Roberto Lazzeroni

Roberto Lazzeroni (born 1950 in Pisa, Italy) received his professional training in art and architecture in Florence. In the early 1980s he started to be interested in industrial and interior design, a specialization which he defines as fundamental for the following approach to the world of product design. Lazzeroni has created designs for several manufacturers including Antoniopuli, Baxter, Busnelli, Ceccotti, Flexform, Giorgetti, Lema, Poltrona Frau, and Zanotta. He has been the recipient of numerous design awards including Tecniques Discretes (Paris, 1991), Conran Foundation Museum, (London, 1992), Elegant Techniques, (Chicago, 1992), La Fabbrica Estetica, (Paris, 1993), Dall'Albergo alla Nave, (Genoa, 1993), and Costruire il mobile, (Milan 1999).
