Tito Agnoli

Tito Agnoli (1931 – 2012) was born to an Italian family in Lima, Peru. He came to Italy after World War II and originally trained as a painter. He subsequently enrolled in the Faculty of Architecture where he graduated in 1959 and became an assistant to both Gio Ponti and Carlo De Darli. He has created a number of designs for several manufacturers including Arflex, Cinova, Lema, Matteo Grassi, Molteni, Montina, Oluce, Pierantonio Bonacina, Poltrona Frau, Schiffini, Ycami. Throughout his lifetime, Agnoli was nominated several times for the prestigious Compasso d’Oro Award. His work is included in the permanent collections of several museums including New York’s Museum of Modern Art.
