Massimo Scolari
Massimo Scolari (born 1943 in Novi Ligure, Italy) is an architect, designer, and artist.  He graduated with a degree in architecture in Milan in 1969.  In 1973, he became a professor of History of Architecture at Palermo and of Drawing at the Istituto Universitario di Architettura di Venezia (IUAV).  He has been a visiting professor at numerous universities including Harvard, Yale, Cornell, and Cooper Union.  He began designing furniture for Giorgetti in 1989 and functioned as the manufacturer's art director until 2001.  His art is included in the permanent collections of several museums worldwide including the Museum of Modern Art, New York; Centres Pompidou, Paris; and the Deutsches Architektur Museum, Frankfurt.
