The Lia chair is tour-de-force of minimalist seating - its thin frame and similarly narrow-profile yet gently curved seat and back expanses, ensure both ergonomics and a profound levity of form. Lia's aluminum alloy frame is available as polished or in painted finishes. Seat and back internal composition is polyurethane. Removable upholstery is available in a wide range of textile and leather options. The way in which the upholstery and the frame interact within the form is one of the many elements that makes Lia so remarkable - the frame is unexpectedly revealed - akin to punctuation - where the vertical planes of the legs meet the horizontal seating plane. Noted here is the Lia dining chair with arms that are beautifully articulated as outwardly, subtly curved "walls" - designed in the year following the introduction of the armless version of Lia - it becomes a perfect, complementary seating companion.
