Overview

The Bisanzio modular rug for interior and exterior environments is created by joining elements made of one- or two-color cords. The cord is shaped and sewn by hand to create decorating modules of about 12x12 cm. These elements are then sewn with an orthogonal placement to form the rug’s surface. Only one color can be chosen. Due to the materials and the production technique, Paola Lenti advises against the use of the Bisanzio rug in high traffic areas. Manufactured by Paola Lenti.

Paola Lenti

Paola Lenti (born 1958 in Alessandria, Italy) graduated from Milan's Polytecnico. In the early 1980s, she started working as an image coordinator and graphic designer for several events and fashion companies. In 1994, she founded her namesake design manufacturing company located in Italy's Meda furniture district just outside of Milan. Her company has become synonymous with textile innovation and its applications for home furnishings - known for its ongoing dedication to both research and experimentation.
