Moroso was established in 1952 and was the brainchild of Agostino Moroso who, with his wife, Diana, founded the company with the objective of making furniture with an artisanal approach in product manufacturing that was underscored with extraordinary creativity and innovation in the designs themselves. Nearly seventy five years after its founding, and through the creative input of award-winning designers like Ron Arad, Patricia Urquiola, Ross Lovegrove, Konstantin Grcic, Alfredo Häberli, Toshiyuki Kita, Marcel Wanders, Tokujin Yoshioka, Enrico Franzolini, Doshi & Levien, Tord Boontje, Nendo, and Front, Moroso is positioned among the haute couture of international design manufacturers, creating furniture critically-acclaimed furniture that is suitable for both residential and commercial applications.
Antonio Citterio (born 1950 in Meda, Italy) graduated from the Milan Polytechnic with a degree in architecture in 1972 - that same year he began work as a designer and consultant in the field of industrial design. With Terry Dwan, he formed Studio Citterio/Dwan in 1987. With Patricia Viel he founded the multidisciplinary Antonio Citterio and Partners in Milan in 1999. His works are included in permanent collections of New York's Museum of Modern Art, as well as the Centre Georges-Pompidou, Paris. Citterio was the recipient of the prestigious Compasso d′Oro award in both 1987 and 1995. Citterio has created pieces for a number of manufacturers - Arclinea, Axor, B&B Italia, Flexform, Flos, Kartell, Maxalto, Metalco, Skantherm, Studio TK, and Vitra.
