The Gogan Collection gets its name from the Japanese "gogan-ishigumi" literally meaning "waterside edge rocks" that Patricia Urquiola used as her inspiration for the engaging seating expanses associated with the collection - each like a stone that has been eroded and smoothed by water and time. The cants associated with the underside of the seating expanse as well as the resulting negative space are fabulously atypical details and provide tremendous visual interest. The backrest is quite literally "buttressed" with upholstered vertical supports that ensure that any piece in the Gogan Collection is downright engaging from whatever angle it is viewed. Noted here is the Gogan sofa that is available in two-seat and three-seat versions. Manufactured by Moroso.
