The Chess Table is a place for pastimes, rivalries, and just cleverness — its fabulously decorative black and white checkered surface can be adeptly used for several playing games. In addition to its logical function, the Chess Table also makes for an engaging, graphic side or occasional table. The table is constructed in various woods with an internal steel frame and is finished in a high-gloss, black and white lacquer. Manufactured by Moooi.

Front is a Swedish design collective that includes Sofia Lagerkvist (born 1972 in Eskilstuna, Sweden) and Anna Lindgren (born 1974 in Stockholm, Sweden). Their works are based on common discussions, explorations, and experiments – they are involved in all aspects of their projects from initial ideas to the final product. Front's design objects often communicate a story to the observer about the design process, about the material it is made of or about conventions within the design field. In their work, they have assigned part of the making of design to animals, computers, or machines. They have executed a number of cutting-edge concepts – an interior that constantly changes, created objects with explosions, robotic furniture, and a range of furniture inspired by their fascination with magic. Front has worked with several manufacturers including Axor, Gan, Gemla, FontanaArte, Moooi, Moooi Carpets, Moroso, Offect, Porro, and Tom Dixon.
