Overview

The Sign Filo dining chair is a perfect combination of design and craftsmanship and is built up like a refined jewel. The creative process of this chair is reminiscent of the ancient goldsmith's technique of filigree that is carried out by interweaving and welding thin wires of precious metals. Forty-five meters of steel wire in four different diameters, draw Sign Filo's silhouette. Sixteen shoulder and twelve cross wires are assembled by hand with over 226 sealing points. Sign Filo is made entirely in Italy with top quality materials and production processes. Optional cushions with removable silk covers were designed specially for the Sign Filo chair. Piergiorgio Cazzaniga

Piergiorgio Cazzaniga (born 1946 in Lissone, Italy) developed an interest in design having spent time in his father's carpenter shop. After graduating with a degree in interior design, he joined the research and development department of Boffi in 1966. In 1971 , he became a partner in the architecture and design studio of Luigi Massoni. In 1991, he established his own design studio and has worked with several manufacturers including Acerbis, Andreu World, Composit, Desalto, La Palma, Lema, Living Divani, MDF Italia, and Porro.
