Honouring the legacy of Poul Henningsen, the PH 3/3 Pendant Centenary Edition is based on the iconic three-shade system, the System PH, invented by Poul Henningsen in 1926. Based on this system, Poul Henningsen developed hundreds of lamps as the mathematical principle behind it made it possible to enable excellent lighting quality for a great variety of purposes. This suspension light emits a comfortable, diffused, glare-free light that is characteristic of Poul Henningsen's reflective three-shade-system. The fixture is available with amber and white opal glass. The translucent shades in triple-layered, hand-blown opal glass create a warm glow around the pendant, whereas the metal shades with their white-painted interiors reflect a fine and primarily downwardly directed light.
