Originally designed for Jacobsen's SAS Royal Hotel in Copenhagen, the AJ table lamp as become a 20th century design icon. The AJ table lamp emits downward directed light; the angle of the shade can be adjusted to optimize light distribution. The shade is painted white on the inside to ensure a soft comfortable light. Base created in die cast zinc. Shade created in spun steel. Stem created in steel. Cord is black, except for the white-colored version of the lamp. The lamp has an on/off switch located in the base. Suitable for dry locations. UL listed. Manufactured by Louis Poulsen.
