Designed by: Marzio Cecchi
Manufactured by: Gufram
Marzio Cecchi, eclectic and visionary Italian architect, designer, and founder of Studio Most created several avant-garde designs in the 1960s and 1970s that are sought after by collectors. His seldom-seen Fachiro lounge chair design from 1969 has been reissued by Italian manufacturer Gufram. Faithful to the original design, Fachiro, is composed of metallic silver synthetic leather and is covered with conical "spikes." While it appears to be anything but an ergonomic lounge chair, it actually functions like the iconic Sacco chair from Zanotta. It is also filled with polystyrene pellets and its "spikes" are padded with foam. In fact, it's a comfortable lounge chair that will flex and adapt to the weight of the sitter. As much sculpture as it is seating, Fachiro has tremendous visual presence and is certain to make a statement within any interior that it is placed. Fachiro was recently reissued in April 2026 and will be produced in a limited edition of 99 examples. The newly reissued Fachiro was shown recently at 2026 Milan Furniture Fair, and featured in the associated New York Times coverage of the Fair. Manufactured by Gufram.
