Overview

The Dora Bar Stool features an adjustable height thanks to a spring mechanism, with base structure in satin-finished steel. The structure of the seat is in multi-layer and the padding is in multi-density expanded polyurethane. The structure of the backrest is in calendered aluminum (curved). The covering is in saddle leather or shiny saddle leather, with both available in different colors while the backrest can be matched to different shades of piping. Manufactured by Giorgetti.

Massimo Scolari

Massimo Scolari (born 1943 in Novi Ligure, Italy) is an architect, designer, and artist. He graduated with a degree in architecture in Milan in 1969. In 1973, he became a professor of History of Architecture at Palermo and of Drawing at the Istituto Universitario di Architettura di Venezia (IUAV). He has been a visiting professor at numerous universities including Harvard, Yale, Cornell, and Cooper Union. He began designing furniture for Giorgetti in 1989 and functioned as the manufacturer's art director until 2001. His art is included in the permanent collections of several museums worldwide including the Museum of Modern Art, New York; Centres Pompidou, Paris; and the Deutsches Architektur Museum, Frankfurt.
