The Atlas Magnum is a larger extendable version of the Dranert's iconic Atlas dining table - indeed, the largest version of the Atlas Magnum will extend to nearly 12 feet! Like its smaller cousin, Atlas Magnum features a minimalist form that uses patented technology to allow the user to effortlessly swivel the integrated extension top from the underneath the table. Available in a wide range of wood and stone tops as well as base finishes, Atlas Magnum is available in two sizes. Manufactured by Draenert.

Georg Appeltshauser (born 1949 in Coburg, Germany) initially studied precision mechanics at the FH Ulm, Germany, and subsequently studied product design at Stuttgart’s College of Arts. He started his career as a technical consultant for various design offices until founding his own Stuttgart-based design office in 1979 where the emphasis of his work has been focused on furniture design. The designer’s philosophy about furniture is “it needs to be flexible and to adapt to the owner's requirements. I am inspired to forward furniture in regard to their mobility and convertibility to a further dimension.”
