Based in Italy, Desalto began in 1990 when the four Orsenigo brothers - heirs of a metalworking family company - imagined a firm that would be more in step with the times and, from the very beginning, called on the cooperation of established as well as up-and-coming designers. Thirty years later, Desalto is known for its award-winning designs that are underscored by their sophisticated aesthetics and a commitment to technological and materials research and innovation.
Gianluigi Landoni (born 1958 in Busto Arsizio, Italy) graduated from the Milan Polytechnic. In 1985, he participated in the creation of Amalgama, a high tech design group. From 1988 to 1990 he worked at the studio of Rodolfo Bonetto as project manager. Since 1991, Landoni is a partner in the studio "Progetica Design" where he carries out research and development of industrial design, deepening the themes of product design.
