Overview

The DS-4 Sofa's elegant simplicity is due to its daring interplay of materials. Solid construction in wood. Legs and metal frame available in a polished chrome, matte chrome, or powder coated aluminum color. On request, legs and metal frame can be coated in other colors with supplement. The body of the DS-4 is tightly upholstered in fabric or leather. Seat and back cushions are loosely upholstered. Manufactured by de Sede.

Antonella Scarpitta (born 1955 in Italy) is a prominent designer who has collaborated with brands such as de Sede to create timeless, elegant pieces for the home and office. Her furniture designs were influenced by Italian Bauhaus advocate, Attilio Marcolli, and is known for its clean lines and aesthetics. In addition to her commercially available work, Antonella Scarpitta has designed furniture for the MTV and VIVA television studios, as well as for films, including movies directed by Lina Wertmüller and Steven Spielberg.
