Soda water is used to trap air in a super heated glass matrix, which is vertically stretched and folded back onto itself between pegs numerous times. As the glass cools, the folding motion along the grain of the loop turns the entrapped air into microfilaments that give the piece a pearlescent optical quality. A low-voltage xenon or LED light source is introduced at one end of the loop casting light through the microfilaments and registering a gentle gradient. The 87.1m suspension light has a mini canopy of brushed nickel, creating a subtle profile that essentially disappears into the application surface. 87.1m is recommended for new build applications where the intent is to create a cluster or cloud of pendants without causing a negative visual impact on the ceiling plane. This fixture houses either a 10 watt Xenon (dimmable) or 1.5 watt LED bulb. LED version is dimmable when using a compatible dimmer supplied by others. The 87.1m light weighs approximately 3bs. and requires one Xenon or LED bulb which is included. Approved to UL Standards by CSA. Manufactured by Bocci.
