This innovative solution, poised midway between design and art, and conceived to be offered to a wide audience, stems from B&B Italia's extensive technological knowledge of polyurethane injection molding. Particularly noteworthy among the armchairs is the iconic UP 5 lounge chair and UP 6 spherical ottoman, with its unmistakable anthropomorphic references. This iconic design is included in the permanent collections of museums worldwide including the Museum of Modern Art, New York; Philadelphia Museum of Art; Denver Art Museum; the Musee des Beaux-Arts, Montreal; Israel Museum, Jerusalem; and the Art Institute, Chicago.
