Jacques-Henri Lartigue
Jacques Henri Lartigue (1894 - 1986) was born in Courbevoie, France, into a wealthy family that afforded his study of painting and photography.  In his late 60s, his work became prominent following a 1963 exhibition at New York's Museum of Modern Art.  His work is now included in the permanent collections of several museums including Musée d'Orsay, Paris; Museum of Modern Art, New York; Metropolitan Museum of Art, New York; Art Institute of Chicago; and National Gallery of Art, Washington, DC.
