Vacuum Jug .5L - Stainless Steel

Designed by:  Erik Magnussen
Manufactured by:  Stelton

Erik Magnussen's vacuum jug in plastic, with its unique rocker stopper, was introduced in 1977 as follow-up to Arne Jacobsen's Cylinda-Line. Just like Arne Jacobsen's design, the stringent cylindrical shape and two-colored, graphic appearance of the vacuum jug expresses a minimalism and functionality that keeps being ahead of its time.

This half-liter version was released for the first time in 1986 and has since been a favorite especially among young singles and couples meeting up for picnics, tea lovers who found themselves surrounded by coffee drinkers, and design fans who simply seek a small gift with great functionality and reputation. Manufactured by Stelton.

Stelton

Stelton accessories provide the pure, simple lines of Scandinavian design that enrich our daily lives. Earning numerous prestigious design awards over many decades, Switch Modern’s curated selection of this Danish brand highlights the most iconic, influential designs in company’s 50+ year history. Stelton’s Cylinda Line range designed in the 1960s by celebrated architect, Arne Jacobsen, challenged preconceived notions about the ways in which stainless steel could be manipulated and engendered a new era of modern aesthetics with the material that had no historic precedent. In addition to Jacobsen’s entire Cylinda Line range, Switch Modern shows and stocks many other Stelton classics by Erik Magnussen and Peter Holmblad from the 1970s along with contemporary designs by Holmbäck Nordentoft, Christina Halskov, and Klaus Rath.
