The Scoop Low dining chair was originally developed for a Design Research Studio project for the restaurant at London's Royal Academy of Art. The premise was to develop a chair that was generously proportioned, comfortable, and fully upholstered. The result was a rounded soft shell that took its inspiration from motor racing "tub seats." Scoop was redesigned in 2018 for maximum comfort and visual impact - its form quite literally hugs the contours of the sitter's body. Scoop's upholstery is available in a wide range of options. Chair legs in a choice of solid natural or black oak. Manufactured by Tom Dixon.
