The original sketch for this rug was based upon a watercolor painted by Mariscal in 1987. His design transmits the salient outline of the classic Persian rug. Using this concept as a starting point, the design was further updated using unique patterns that are reminiscent of comics through which East and West are synthesized, placing traditional craftsmanship and contemporary design in one product. Hand-tufted 100% New Zealand wool. Manufactured by Nanimarquina.
