The Londres table lamp is an exploration of how cylindrical forms can visually interact. The lamp's drum-shape diffuser shade is essentially a wide cylinder; the base is a canted narrow cylinder. The combination of these seemingly imbalanced elements are kept in place by the beautifully articulated "diviner rod" shaped support base in patinated brass. Londres is yet another example of Moinard's expert manipulation of various materials and their respective finishes within the same form - metals, stone, wood, textiles - to create engaging aesthetics. Base cylindrical support in tonal blackwood stone; lampshade is closed on the top. Manufactured by Ecart International.
