Designed by: Philippe Starck
Manufactured by: Driade
In line with other objects universally recognized as icons, the Costes dining chair marked the beginning of a partnership between Philippe Starck and Driade. Designed for the homonymous and now disappeared Parisian café, the chair owes its timeless success to the absoluteness of forms: an embracing dark wooden structure with three highly tilted legs. The steel structure is painted black and the curved plywood that forms the back is offered in several wood finishes. The seat is padded with foam and upholstered in leather. The chair is intended for indoor use only. Manufactured by Driade.
