Established in 1949, Kartell is an Italian design company with a worldwide reputation for its cutting-edge research into various forms of plastics to create innovative, glamorous designs for the home and office that often have no historic aesthetic precedent. Based in Milan, Kartell has a presence in 130 countries; Switch Modern is pleased to belong to this exclusive group of showrooms. Known far and wide for its attractive and sensuous designs – all underscored by Kartell’s commitment to accessibility and functionality. For nearly seven decades, Kartell has collaborated with prominent international designers and architects to create objects – chairs, mirrors, tables, cabinets, shelving, storage, sofas, accessories – that have not only found their way into residences on every continent, many can now also be found into the permanent collections of museums the world over.
