Rin Chair with Casters

Designed by:  Hiromichi Konno
Manufactured by:  Fritz Hansen

RIN is a multifunctional chair designed to be in perfect harmony with Japanese and Danish design traditions.  The original idea for the RIN chair came from Konno’s fascination with nature and the curiosity surrounding the form of a bird’s nest.  He was spurred on by the immediate paradox of how something so practical and functional could be so beautiful.  This chair can be paired with a wide range of tables depending on your needs.  RIN is created in white or black molded plastic. This product is available with or without upholstery and comes in a wide range of fabrics and leathers.  The chrome finished base is supported by five hard-wheel casters without break action.  Manufactured by Fritz Hansen.  Price includes shipping to the USA.

Soft-wheel and break action options are available at no surcharge. Please contact Switch Modern for more details.

Fritz Hansen

Evolving from bent beech wood to the firm’s specialty, laminate wood, Fritz Hansen products have launched movements that extend from the pure lines of Scandinavian modern to the first steel furniture. Today’s Republic of Fritz Hansen is built on a foundation of superior craftsmanship and original Danish design. Leading the way since its 1885 origins in Copenhagen, the company has attracted a roster of influential designers, producing iconic pieces that represent breakthrough thinking.

Switch Modern is pleased to supply the broad range of Fritz Hansen products, including early classic and current forward-looking designs. The collection extends from the famous China Chair of 1944, to the Ant Chair of 1952, to modern comfort in the Alphabet Sofa from 2008, plus a wide selection of innovative tables, lamps, and more.
