Federico Otero (born in Lima, Peru) is an interactive and industrial designer. He began his career in design at the Universidad Catolica and then studied at Purdue University after a move to the United States, later completing a master's at the Domus Academy in Milan. Otero served as lead designer at Delta Faucet Company for several years and has also worked with Marcus Koepke's Design Studio and Tag Heuer. He is well-known for a variety of products that range from faucets and furniture to unique, modern fireplaces produced by Cocoon Fireplaces. Federico Otero has won a number of honors over the course of his career, including the German Design Council's Interior Innovation Design Award and Interior Design Magazine's Best of Year Award for Decorative Lighting. His work has been featured in numerous publications including Vogue, Interni, Metropolis, and Interior Design.
