Michael Anastassiades

Michael Anastassiades (born 1967 in Cyprus, Greece) studied at London's Royal College of Art and Imperial College, focusing on industrial design and engineering. The London-based industrial designer launched his own studio in 1994. He is celebrated for his lighting designs, which figure prominently in restaurants, hotels, and stores around the world, including Soho House in New York, Grand Hotel in Stockholm, and Sergio Rossi boutiques worldwide.  He has collaborated with a number of well-known brands, including FLOS, Lobmeyer, and Swarovski Crystal Palace. In an interview with the Greek Foundation, Anastassiades emphasized the importance of the creative process in his work, “I don't consider myself an artist or a designer, but simply a creative person.”
