Dieter Mankau
Dieter Mankau (born 1941 in Mazany, Poland) studied industrial design at Werkkunstschule Kassel from 1961 until 1966; his postgraduate studies were in experimental environmental design at Braunschweig University of Art between 1972 and 1975.  He designed an audio installation for Documenta VIII in 1982 as well as for the Multimediale at ZKM Center for Art and Media Karlsruhe, Germany.  Mankau has worked on various industrial research and development projects for several clients.   In 2006, he founded the Institute for Technology-Oriented Design Innovation.
