Lena Bergstrom
Lena Bergström (born 1961 in Umea, Sweden) is a textiles and glass designer.  She moved to Stockholm to study at various art & crafts schools, eventually at Konstfack, the University college of art, crafts, and design in Stockholm.  Bergström describes her studies as interdisciplinary, which is also manifest in her work.  After graduating from Konstfack in 1989, Bergström started working as a freelance designer.  She got her breakthrough in 1992 with the award-winning textile collection X-tra, O-lik och I-hop for manufacturer Ljungbergs.  In 1994, Bergström was employed by Swedish manufacturer Orrefors where she has remained and designed several award winning products such as the Havanna and Drop Collections, the Squeeze vase in 1997, and the Puck votive in 1999.
