Kustaa Saksi (born 1975, Kouvola, Finland) is a contemporary artist and designer who specializes in graphic storytelling through pattern design, textile art, and installation.  Ideas of nature seen from the abstracted edge of perception seemingly underscore all of Saksi’s work. He builds fantastical worlds of playful, paradoxical, troubling, yet inviting shapes and environments pulled out of the ordinary.  Saksi’s art has been widely exhibited at galleries and museums in New York, Paris, London, Amsterdam, Helsinki, Singapore, Berlin, Madrid, Milan and Tokyo.  Saksi has produced commissioned artworks for companies such as Nike, Issey Miyake, Salvatore Ferragamo, Lacoste, LVMH and Marimekko.  He currently lives and works in Amsterdam.
