Alvar Aalto (1898 - 1976) was undoubtedly one of the most important names in modern architecture and design. His pragmatic yet progressive philosophy and sensuous vocabulary of form have kept Aalto's designs fresh and original to this day. Aalto believed that good design should be a part of everyday life and his products clearly exemplify this idea.
