Riccardo Blumer
Riccardo Blumer (born 1959 in Bergamo, Italy) studied architecture at the Polytechnic of Milan from which he graduated in 1982. From 1983 to 1988, he worked in the office of architect Mario Botta in Lugano where he was responsible for projects, expositions, and publications. In 1988, he opened his professional office in Casciago (Varese). He won a Compasso d'Oro in 1998 for his Laleggera Chair that is now part of several museum collections. Blumer has worked with Alias, Artemide, B&B Italia, Desalto, Flou, Poliform, and Ycami.
