Vassoio Ovale Tray

This oval tray, with its essential lines and broad full rim, designed by Josef Hoffmann in 1923, can be considered the archetype of many trays now produced industrially.  In the Wiener Werkstaette catalog of 1 August 1928, two smaller trays, Visitenkartentasse and Tasse, are listed, though larger versions have also appeared on the antique market in recent years.  In agreement with the curator of the MAK in Vienna, Elisabeth Schmuttermeier, Alessia has decided to produce two of the historical models.  Manufactured by Alessi.

Designed in 1923.
10.25" W, 8" H (small)
12.5" W, 10.25" H (medium)
15.75" W, 13" H (large)
18" W, 15.75" H (extra large)
