Oxford Lounge Chair
The Oxford™ Lounge chair was introduced in 2005 as part of the exclusive Oxford series designed by Arne Jacobsen. The original version of the Oxford chair was designed for the professors at St. Catherine’s College in Oxford, in 1963. The "professor's chair", which later evolved into the Oxford series, was designed with an extra tall back, a symbol of prestige, and created a space of its own. The chair comes in a wide range of fabric or leather upholstery options. All chairs are available with nonupholstered aluminum armrests and have a low, medium, or high back. The base is crafted from satin polished aluminum and comes with a four star swivel with fixed height. Chairs with fixed seat heights have a spring function. The shells are made of laminated molded wood. Manufactured by Fritz Hansen. Price includes shipping to the USA.
Designed in 1965/2005.
